  Governor Yahaya attends DJ Maitaya's Children's wedding Fatiha in Gombe. Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya CON today, Saturday honors an invitation of one of his strong suppoter Alhaji Inusa Dattijo popularly known as (DJ Maitaya) whose children got wedded at the Bubayaro Central Mosque Gombe. Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya represented by a high powered Government delegation led by the Secretary to the State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi. The delegation comprise of Commissioners, Special Advisers among other high Profile Government officials at the colourful ceremony. The wedding Fatiha of the two children of the renown politician and their spouses was contracted after the couples have fulfilled all requirements of Islamic marriage and the payment of dowrys by the chief Imam Alhaji Aliyu Hammari.  17th November, 2024. Gombe Local government Council has unveiled First Batch of Community Metro Guards (CMG) to improve Security in the metropolitan.  The 1st Batch numbering about One Hundred and twenty (120) Energetic Youths will be engaged to check traffic related congestion across major roads, monitor compliance on periodic Community Environmental sanitation, vigilance on other forms of Community vices among others. The program which so far engaged over 120 Youths across all the eleven wards of Gombe LGA targets Five Hundred Youths in total to expand its strategic operation in all the nook and crannies of Gombe metropolitan.
