 8th March, 2025  Governor Inuwa Yahaya Hosts Tsangaya Teachers to Iftar …As Forum Crowns Gombe Governor ‘Khadimul Qur’an’ …Lauds Him for Construction of Tsangaya Schools, Free Enrollment of Almajiri into Go-Health Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has hosted the leadership of the Association of Tsangaya teachers from across the state to a special Iftar at the Government House, Gombe.  This was a continuation of the Governor’s tradition of hosting public Iftar for the citizens of the state, an occasion that provides Governor Inuwa Yahaya with another opportunity to deepen his engagement with the Muslim community and promote peace and brotherhood among all. Governor Yahaya condole VC, FUK over mother's demise.

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya CON of Gombe State and Chairman Northern States Governors' Forum has sent a high powered Government delegation to Yola the Adamawa State capital to commiserate with the Vice Chancellor Federal University of Kashere Professor Umar Pate (Kaigaman Adamawa) over the demise of his mother Hajiya Hussainatu Sa'ad who passes on recently after a protracted illness at the age of 80 years.



Conveying the sympathy of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the Government and people of Gombe State, the leader of the delegation and Commissioner of Higher Education Mohammed Shetima Gadam express sadness over the death of their late mother and called on Prof Pate, other family members to be console in the fact that the deceased leave a fulfilled live praying Allah to grant her Alzanatul firdausi.



Among members of the State delegation were; Commissioner for Special Duties and Regional Integration Shehu Yerima Addullahi, the Permanent Secretary/Director General Bureau for Public Service Reforms Abubakar Hassan and the Chairman of Akko Local Government Council Danladi Adamu.


Others include; the Acting Vice Chancellor Gombe State University Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta, Professor Bertha Audu, Provost State College of Education (COE)Billiri and Executive Secretary State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) Abdullahi Haruna Abdullahi.



The Acting Vice Chancellor of the Gombe State University Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta also presented a condolences letter to the VC FUK on behalf of the Governing council, management and student of the University.


Reacting to the visit a son to the decease and Vice Chancellor Federal University of Kashere Professor Umar Pate express gratitude to Governor Inuwa Yahaya and the government and people of Gombe State for standing in solidarity with his family during their moment of grief.


Professor Pate describes the show of concern by the Gombe State Government as unprecedented praying to God to bless and sustain the unity of purpose. 


He equally use the forum to commend Governor Inuwa Yahaya for his support towards the University which has facilitated the construction of a Senate building and a faculty of medical sciences among other supporting facilities.


It will be recalled that Governor Yahaya had on receiving the sad news issued a press statement identifying with bereaved family through his Director General Media and Publicity Ismaila Uba Misilli.

The Secretary to the Gombe State Government (SSG) Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi has been awarded the best performing Chief scribe in the country by the National Leadership Awards for the year 2024.  Three Commissioners from the State were equally awarded best performing commissioners in their respective line of duty. The commissioners include; Dr. Engr Usman Maijama'a Kallamu of the Works, Housing and Transport ministry, the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice Barr Z. M. Umar and Adamu Ibrahim Pantami of the Ministry of Youth and Sports  Development.
