Deployment :  35 Staff deployed to Gombe State House of Assembly Service Commission assumes duty.


Inline with the Gombe State Public Service Reform objectives and effort to fill in existing  manpower gap in the  legislative arm of Government ,Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya CON,(Danmajen Gombe)has approved  the immediate deployment of thirty five (35) staff  drawn from various MDAs within the State Civil Service to the  State House of Assembly and the House Assembly Service Commission respectively.



The inadequate staffing has largely contributed to Ineffective service delivery in the Legislative Arm of Government.However when the issue was brought to the Governors attention an immediate  approval was given through the office of the Head of Civil Service to  facilitate and work out modalties in liaison with  Civil Service Commission for the immediate deployment of suitable candidates.


The Civil Service Commission under the leadership of Hajiya Rabi Shuaibu Jimeta did not relent,it immediately swung into action by working closely with the House of Assembly Service Commission to commenced the process and sourced the needed Staff, with representation across the twenty four (24) State Assembly Constituencies, a fair and equitable distribution  as directed by the people's Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.

Chairman of the Commission Alhaji Suleiman Abubakar  had in the course of interaction with the deployed  staff lauded  Governor  Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for coming to the aid of the legislative arm, noting that the deployment will go a long way in improving and strengthening the operations of the Legislative arm.


In the meantime, the  Secretary of the House of Assembly Service Commission Hajiya Aishatu Hari Abdulkadir has charged the newly deployed Staff to bugle up to their respective responsibilities.


Hajiya Aishatu gave the admonition while addressing  them in her office on Monday, she further reminded them to be of good conduct, dedicated to duty and  punctual at all time as the commission does not condone truancy and  acts contrary  to Civil Service  Rules and Regulations.

The Secretary to the Gombe State Government (SSG) Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi has been awarded the best performing Chief scribe in the country by the National Leadership Awards for the year 2024.  Three Commissioners from the State were equally awarded best performing commissioners in their respective line of duty. The commissioners include; Dr. Engr Usman Maijama'a Kallamu of the Works, Housing and Transport ministry, the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice Barr Z. M.
