 8th March, 2025  Governor Inuwa Yahaya Hosts Tsangaya Teachers to Iftar …As Forum Crowns Gombe Governor ‘Khadimul Qur’an’ …Lauds Him for Construction of Tsangaya Schools, Free Enrollment of Almajiri into Go-Health Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has hosted the leadership of the Association of Tsangaya teachers from across the state to a special Iftar at the Government House, Gombe.  This was a continuation of the Governor’s tradition of hosting public Iftar for the citizens of the state, an occasion that provides Governor Inuwa Yahaya with another opportunity to deepen his engagement with the Muslim community and promote peace and brotherhood among all. Ramadan: Gombe Governor Sets Up Palliative Distribution Committees


In his continuous effort to provide relief and improve the welfare of citizens, especially, as Ramadan is set to begin, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has appointed, with immediate effect, State Coordinator, Local Government Committee Chairmen, Members, and Ward Committee Members for the 2025 Ramadan Palliative Distribution across the State. 


The Secretary to the State Government,  Prof Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi,  who conveyed the governor’s approval, said the development is aimed at ensuring smooth and effective distribution of the relief materials to support the residents during the holy month.


The 2025 Ramadan Palliative Distribution Committees are composed as follows:


State Coordinator: Rt. Hon. Abubakar Mohammed Luggerewo


• Local Government Coordinators include: 

• Abdulkadir Mohammed Malle (Akko LGA)

• Col. Abdullahi Bello (Rtd) (Balanga LGA)

• Mohammed Saidu Mohamemd (Billiri LGA)

• Muhammad Gambo Magaji (Dukku LGA)

• Mijinyawa Mohammed Tilde (Funakaye LGA)

• Barr. Sani A.A. Haruna (Gombe LGA)

• Abubakar Dantata (Kaltungo LGA)

• Engr. Usman Maijama’a (Kwami LGA)

• Salihu Baba Alkali (Nafada LGA)

• Hon. Binta Bello (Shongom LGA)

Meanwhile, the formal inauguration of the committees will take place tomorrow Saturday, by 3:00 at the SSG's Conference Hall, Government House.

The Acting Vice Chancellor of the Gombe State University Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta has paid tribute to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya's unwavering commitment towards the advancement of higher education in the State especially as it affects the State own premier institution. The Secretary to the Gombe State Government (SSG) Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi has been awarded the best performing Chief scribe in the country by the National Leadership Awards for the year 2024.  Three Commissioners from the State were equally awarded best performing commissioners in their respective line of duty. The commissioners include; Dr. Engr Usman Maijama'a Kallamu of the Works, Housing and Transport ministry, the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice Barr Z. M. Umar and Adamu Ibrahim Pantami of the Ministry of Youth and Sports  Development.
