 8th March, 2025  Governor Inuwa Yahaya Hosts Tsangaya Teachers to Iftar …As Forum Crowns Gombe Governor ‘Khadimul Qur’an’ …Lauds Him for Construction of Tsangaya Schools, Free Enrollment of Almajiri into Go-Health Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has hosted the leadership of the Association of Tsangaya teachers from across the state to a special Iftar at the Government House, Gombe.  This was a continuation of the Governor’s tradition of hosting public Iftar for the citizens of the state, an occasion that provides Governor Inuwa Yahaya with another opportunity to deepen his engagement with the Muslim community and promote peace and brotherhood among all.  Ramadan: Gombe Governor inaugurate committee on palliative distribution.

Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has inaugurated a committee to oversee the smooth distribution of the 2025 Ramadan Palliative to the fasting citizens of the State.


The inauguration comes as Muslims across the world prepares to begin a month long fasting in the Holy month of Ramadan.


Inaugurating the committee on behalf of the State Governor, the secretary to the State Government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi explain that the ceremony demonstrate the commitment of the present administration in the State to welfare of the people.


The SSG charge the committee to justify the confidence repose in them by delivering a distribution exercise that is fair and just to the citizens especially those who are at the lowest rung of the ladder.


The Coordinator/ chairman of the palliative distribution committee and speaker of the Gombe State House of Assembly Mohammed Luggerewo stress that the committee will be deligent and meticulous in the distribution of the palliative.


The chairman who express gratitude to Governor Inuwa Yahaya for humane disposition assured of equitable and transparent distribution exercise.


Will be recalled that Governor Mahammadu Inuwa Yahaya had earlier through his Director General Press Affairs announced the constitution of the committee with membership cutting across different sectors.

The Secretary to the Gombe State Government (SSG) Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi has been awarded the best performing Chief scribe in the country by the National Leadership Awards for the year 2024.  Three Commissioners from the State were equally awarded best performing commissioners in their respective line of duty. The commissioners include; Dr. Engr Usman Maijama'a Kallamu of the Works, Housing and Transport ministry, the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice Barr Z. M. Umar and Adamu Ibrahim Pantami of the Ministry of Youth and Sports  Development.
