 8th March, 2025  Governor Inuwa Yahaya Hosts Tsangaya Teachers to Iftar …As Forum Crowns Gombe Governor ‘Khadimul Qur’an’ …Lauds Him for Construction of Tsangaya Schools, Free Enrollment of Almajiri into Go-Health Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has hosted the leadership of the Association of Tsangaya teachers from across the state to a special Iftar at the Government House, Gombe.  This was a continuation of the Governor’s tradition of hosting public Iftar for the citizens of the state, an occasion that provides Governor Inuwa Yahaya with another opportunity to deepen his engagement with the Muslim community and promote peace and brotherhood among all. Governor Yahaya mourns late Mama Baturiya Bilal,


... praises the decease steadfastness at committal service 

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya CON, represented by a high powered Government delegation led by the Commissioner of Woman Affairs, Asmau Iganus were at the funeral service of the late Mama Baturiya Bilal  held at the ECWA Church Tal Billiri LGA.

 Asamau Iganus conveyed the Governors deepest condolences and exols the good vitures of late Mama Baturiya describing her as one who lived an examplary life especially owing to her  commitment in service to God and Humanity.


The deceased was until her death a member of Girls Brigade and a devoted Christian as testified by the Church, family members and traditional institution.


Rev. Ibrahim Joda in his sermon taken from the book of Ecleciaties 6 titled "when you trained your children, your death will be a blessing" charged the congregation on the imperative of training the younger ones in the way of the Lord to prepare them for the home beyond.


Rev. Joda also enjoin children to be obedient to their parents for them to attract more reward and blessings from God Almighty.

The funeral service attracted sympathizers from far and wide including  Mohammed Sai'du Fawu, Commissioner Water, Environment & Forest Resources, Special Advisers/ Chairmen of Board from Gombe South, Local Government Chairmen, Gombe South and Members of the Task force on the closure of Gala and Joints among other government officials.


Speaking on behalf of the family, Group Captain Bitrus Bilal Rtd expressed gratitude to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for sending such a high delegation and all those who identify with them in the moment of berievement.

The Acting Vice Chancellor of the Gombe State University Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta has paid tribute to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya's unwavering commitment towards the advancement of higher education in the State especially as it affects the State own premier institution. The Secretary to the Gombe State Government (SSG) Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi has been awarded the best performing Chief scribe in the country by the National Leadership Awards for the year 2024.  Three Commissioners from the State were equally awarded best performing commissioners in their respective line of duty. The commissioners include; Dr. Engr Usman Maijama'a Kallamu of the Works, Housing and Transport ministry, the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice Barr Z. M. Umar and Adamu Ibrahim Pantami of the Ministry of Youth and Sports  Development.
