 8th March, 2025  Governor Inuwa Yahaya Hosts Tsangaya Teachers to Iftar …As Forum Crowns Gombe Governor ‘Khadimul Qur’an’ …Lauds Him for Construction of Tsangaya Schools, Free Enrollment of Almajiri into Go-Health Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has hosted the leadership of the Association of Tsangaya teachers from across the state to a special Iftar at the Government House, Gombe.  This was a continuation of the Governor’s tradition of hosting public Iftar for the citizens of the state, an occasion that provides Governor Inuwa Yahaya with another opportunity to deepen his engagement with the Muslim community and promote peace and brotherhood among all. Addressing his guests shortly after the iftar, Governor Inuwa Yahaya reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of Tsangaya teachers and Almajiri children, acknowledging the significance of Qur’anic education in the society. Crescent sighting reminder for Ramadan 1443H. 


Assalamu Alaikum,


Coming Friday, 1st April 2022(G), is the 29th of Sha’abaan 1443(H) and hence the first day to look for the crescent of Ramadan 1443(H). The expected time for the moon conjunction in Nigeria is Friday, 1st April 2022(G), at 07:24am local time (06:24am GMT). Other technical details are given in the attached images. 


The National Moon Sighting Committee (NMSC) hereby requests you to kindly look for the Ramadan crescent on that Friday and then forward to us your observations, whether positive or negative. In your report kindly indicate your full name, location (exact city) and approximate time of observation. It is suggested, if possible, to look for the crescent in a group with others.


You may share this reminder with friends and groups for wider publicity please.

  AWARD: Njodi, Kallamu, Adamu,Umar Bags National leadership Award of Excellence. .......As recipients dedicate awards to Governor Yahaya, Gombe citizens. The Secretary to the Gombe State Government (SSG) Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi has been awarded the best performing Chief scribe in the country by the National Leadership Awards for the year 2024.  Three Commissioners from the State were equally awarded best performing commissioners in their respective line of duty. The commissioners include; Dr. Engr Usman Maijama'a Kallamu of the Works, Housing and Transport ministry, the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice Barr Z. M. Umar and Adamu Ibrahim Pantami of the Ministry of Youth and Sports  Development.
