 Ag. VC Gombe State University pays tribute to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for prioritizing  education. ..... Says academic activities resumes today, Monday 28th. The Acting Vice Chancellor of the Gombe State University Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta has paid tribute to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya's unwavering commitment towards the advancement of higher education in the State especially as it affects the State own premier institution. Professor Yauta gave this indication at a press conference to highlight Governor Inuwa Yahaya uncommon drive  towards the overall welfare of the University in general and its staffs in particular. He describe the recent approval and release of additional 50 million naira on the monthly grant of the University, payment of outstanding allowance of 250 million for part of the 2014 2015 and 2016 Earn Academic Allowances (EAA) as unprecedented. Recently, the Administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya made redeployment in some offices in the State as part of effort to strengthen the administrative system. Those affected in the redeployment are the former Director General Due Process Bureau Alhaji Mohammed Babayola Isah (Danmakoyon Cham) who was deployed to the Gombe international Airport as Director General/ Sole Administrator and Engr. Muhammad Dauda Abubakar (Sarkin Sudan Gadam) who was formally in charge of the Airport now Head of the Due Process Bureau as Director General. The Gombe State Community and Social Development Agency (GCSDA) is a world Bank Assisted project with the active collaboration of the State Government who pays it's Counterpart Fund ensures formidable partnership  in programme execution that adopts the Bottom-top approach in rendering services to Communities who desire to have social amenities of their choice delivered to their doorsteps. The Agency's guidelines also require  a Community desiring to have a project based on need assessment to remit 5 percent of the total project sum while the agency provides the remaining 95 percent in addition to technical support.
